Copper welding is the process of joining two or more pieces of copper together.

During the welding process, copper material is melted and then the two pieces are joined. However, the reaction of copper with oxygen and the formation of copper oxide makes the welding process more difficult than other metals. Therefore, careful processing is required in copper welding.

We can weld with various welding methods within our company.

Designed as a reliable mounting point or connection element in electrical transformers. Manufactured from stainless steel such as AISI 1040, AISI 304 and AISI 316, these studs offer excellent corrosion resistance and are an ideal choice in various applications, especially in marine environments.

Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG): In this method, welding is performed by applying molten copper wire to the workpiece using arc welding within a protective gas layer. Gas metal arc welding is the most common method for copper welding.

Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG): In this method, welding is performed by applying molten copper wire to the workpiece using arc welding with a non-consumable tungsten electrode within a protective gas layer. TIG welding is used to create high-quality copper weld seams.

Induction Welding: With the induction machine, products are heated, and welding can be performed by applying wire externally.

Our company has 4 induction welding machines.

Electrode Welding: This type of welding involves joining two metal pieces using a protective electrode and a heat source. This welding method is used to achieve strong and durable connections. It is widely used in a broad range of applications, from industrial plants to shipbuilding.

Copper electrode welding can be performed on various products within our company.

Applications: The applications of copper welding include:

  • Transformer and Coil Manufacturing: Used in the production of copper busbars within power and distribution transformers utilized in the energy sector.
  • Electrical and Electronic Devices: Copper is widely used in electrical and electronic devices, especially in the energy sector, due to its excellent electrical conductivity.
  • Power Transmission Lines: Power transmission lines are typically made of copper. Copper, being a low-resistance material, enables more efficient energy transmission.
  • Solar Energy Applications: Copper is used in solar panels and solar energy systems to collect and transmit electrical current.
  • Energy Storage Systems: Copper can be found in components such as batteries and capacitors used in energy storage systems.
